Haley Gens and Joshua "Josh" Taylor, both age 23, were killed in the single-vehicle crash that happened in Middlesex County near 717 Highland Street in Holliston on Saturday night, March 18, Holliston Police report.
Connecticut resident Gens, of the town of Avon in Hartford County, participated in cross country at Bryant University while Taylor, a resident of Holliston, was a member of the Ultimate Frisbee team, as previously reported by Daily Voice.
"Saying I am heartbroken is an understatement. Haley I will always think of you when I think of Bryant, St Patty's, the song 'UCLA,' and when ever anyone makes baked goods (though no one will make it like you)," Gens' friend Dayton Hamele wrote on Facebook.
"I’m at a little peace knowing you left the world with your best friend/boyfriend," she continued. "You left the world too soon but you will never be forgotten. I love you hals."
"To the guy who never failed to make me laugh and to the guy who always supported me, regardless of the states that we were in. You loved life and you lived it to the absolute fullest," Taylor's friend Jordan Robinson wrote on Facebook.
"I will forever thank BBYO for bringing us together, and I will never stop thinking about you," he continued. "Thank you Josh Taylor for the memories, the laughs, sharing your love of music and Judaism with me, and for showing me how to live life to the fullest. I'll see you soon, buddy. Love you forever."
The crash remains under investigation.
